Meet Stanley; a sweet, scared dog looking for a safe, child-free home
We are heartbroken to be rehoming our dog, Stanley, but we have a baby on the way and we cannot safely keep him in our home anymore. Stanley has a history of fear and trauma from before we adopted him, and he has bitten a couple of people when he felt scared and cornered. Because of this, he cannot live in a home with children or frequent visitors.
Personality:
When Stanley feels safe, he is snuggly/loyal/goofy/calm. He loves naps on the couch, walks, playing with toys. With the people he trusts, he is a very sweet dog.Trained.
Behavior concerns (please read):
Stanley has a history of fear-based aggression. He has bitten a couple of people in the past when he was scared and felt trapped. His triggers seem to be sudden movements, strangers reaching for him, people entering the home, people play fighting.
He needs:
An adult-only home
An experienced dog person who understands fearful/reactive dogs.
