My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mudslide: A Heartwarming Rescue Story
Mudslide is a handsome and resilient 2-year-old Dogue De Bordeaux, tipping the scales at 72 pounds. His rich chocolate coat is marked by a prominent scar—a somber reminder of a difficult past. Before his rescue, Mudslide was discovered on a bed in the yard of his abandoned home, a place he was too frightened to leave. His reluctance to part with the only home he had ever known led him to be trapped by the Animal Control Officers (ACO) and taken to a high-risk shelter.
A Second Chance at Life
Dogs like Mudslide often face grim prospects in shelters, but fortune smiled upon him when he was transferred to Barking Mad Animal Rescue, thanks to the quick actions of our Hot Paws Rescue Partner. In this new environment, Mudslide began his journey toward healing—both physically and emotionally.
A Gentle Giant
Despite his past traumas, Mudslide has shown a remarkable ability to trust again. He has demonstrated a friendly disposition towards female dogs and remains non-reactive to other dogs passing by his kennel at the shelter. His adaptability and gentle nature have shone through, proving him to be a sweet and affectionate companion.
Health and Wellness
Mudslide is in excellent health, having received all his necessary vaccinations. He is heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered, ensuring he is ready for a loving forever home.
The Path to a Brighter Future
Mudslide's story is one of resilience and hope. With patience and care, he has flourished into a loving and loyal companion. He is now ready to find a family who will appreciate his gentle spirit and offer him the love and stability he deserves.
If you are looking to add a loyal friend to your family, consider opening your heart and home to Mudslide. His journey has been challenging, but with the right family, his future can be as bright as his personality.
