Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet, Reserved, Playful
Meet Roxie Roxanne, a beautiful torbie girl who’s very sweet and easygoing! Roxie is still coming out of her shell in foster, but already enjoys being petted and playing with toys.
Roxie came to APA! with a broken tail, and while it’s uncertain how her tail came to be broken, she’s adjusting to her new environment well despite her past injury! Roxie is still a little cautious about everything, but she’s been making good progress with playtime. She really likes chasing and batting around little cat toys, but usually only plays for five or ten minutes at a time.
Roxie isn’t super affectionate right now, but she doesn’t mind being picked up and enjoys being petted (but only for a couple minutes max). She does spend a lot of time away in her hiding spaces at the moment, but hopefully she’ll become more comfortable with more time. Given how cautious she still is, Roxie is not talkative and only purrs occasionally.
Roxie will be happiest in a forever home with patient and understanding people who don’t mind giving her the time and space she needs to adapt. Even with as nervous as she is, Roxie has been so sweet and is showing so much potential for being a loving little lap cat! A smaller, quieter home would be perfect for her.
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
For further information or to meet Roxie Roxanne, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org.
