My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Behold the magnificence that is THORLO! This handsome boy loves people and will gladly get on laps, snuggle, and purr his head off. He’s at the fun age where he still has some of that kitten-y energy, while still being happy to hang out and binge-watch TV. Thorlo is also a master kitty-cat diplomat, able to get along with everyone from his current foster’s grumpiest older cat to tiny hyperactive kittens. Put simply, he’s the total kitty-cat package! He is six months old.

So why is he still here? Well, when Thorlo was on the verge of being ready to find his forever home earlier this year, he contracted FIP. This used to mean almost certain death – but thanks to the the introduction of a new medicine, Thorlo is in perfect health after finishing his 12-week course of treatment.

He’s already written his letter to Santa, and the only thing on his list is a forever home. Will you be the one to help make his Christmas wish come true?

More about this shelter

Cheatham County Animal Control is committed to finding good homes for the animals that come into the shelter system. We work with rescues and adopters. We are a no kill shelter but we rely on people coming in to adopt!

All of our cats/dogs receive vaccinations that are appropriate for the age and health when they are at animal control. We also spay and neuter all of our animals. The adopter is responsible for all vaccinations and medical care after adoption.
