Hickory is a sweet little soul with a heart as soft as his fur. This darling boy may be a bit shy at first, but once he feels safe, his gentle, affectionate nature shines through. He’s the definition of a “sweet pea”—cautiously optimistic, endlessly loving, and happiest when snuggled right up on top of you. His foster mom says she can see just how much he needed to be loved—and now that he’s found comfort, he gives that love back tenfold.
Because Hickory is still young, he’ll need a feline friend in his forever home to keep him company and help build his confidence. He gets along beautifully with his foster sister, Turtle, and he would really love to be adopted with her! He’d likely do well with other gentle pets too, as his kind, easygoing spirit helps him fit right in.
When it’s playtime, Hickory lights up! He loves all the cat toys—except the extra crinkly ones, which can startle him a bit. Otherwise, he’s a playful, curious little explorer who delights in batting, pouncing, and chasing. Fast or loud movements can still make him a little nervous, but with patience and a calm home, he blossoms into the sweetest cuddlebug.
Hickory is a love bug through and through—he adores pets, cuddles, and all the affection you can offer. He’s even a bit of a “finger nibbler,” which his foster mom says is his silly way of asking for more attention (“Please pet me more!”). Hickory’s mix of tenderness and playfulness makes him a truly special kitten who will bring warmth, sweetness, and devotion to any home lucky enough to have him.

You will be emailed a link to our online adoption contract. Simply fill it out online to transfer ownership from the rescue to you!
