This helps Malinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue, Inc. with pet care costs.
#MADLoveWaffles has had a tough start, like many of our dogs. But with some time and consistency, she is shining like the star she is. She is very treat motivated, super smart, good with other dogs (though a nearby crate mate does make a difference in her energy level/response), and ready for her furever home! She's a strong girl so needs an experienced handler.
Even though she was in the shelter for a year, she exhibits strong learning capacity, reliable arousal regulation skills, and resilience. Her social discrimination skills are well-developed. When encountering dogs who find her play intensity overwhelming, she appropriately disengages without conflict and redirects to alternative play partners or independent activity. Throughout months of multi-dog socialization, she has demonstrated consistently appropriate social communication and conflict avoidance.
Moderate prey drive and mild possessive tendencies, ciombined with her energy level, trainability, she's a good candidate for detection or sport activities. Her handler focus and cognitive engagement also make her a good candidate for nose work, agility, or other mentally stimulating activites like barn hunt.
All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and six-months subscription.
