Theodore is a Golden Retriever mix, about 1 year old, with a loving heart and a playful, joyful personality. He is neutered and fully potty trained. While he’s still working on his leash manners and can pull on walks, he enjoys getting out and exploring and will do best with a family willing to continue helping him polish those skills.
Theodore is great with older kids and gets along well with other dogs and even cats. He still has fun puppy energy but also knows how to settle in for snuggles—especially since he’s convinced he’s a lap dog! A true lover at heart, Theodore thrives on companionship and being close to his people.
His favorite activities include playing fetch, practicing commands, and going for walks. He genuinely enjoys training and learning new tricks, especially with positive reinforcement. Theodore is not a fan of crates or being confined and may cry when you leave the house, so he would do best in a home where he isn’t crated and where his family can help him feel secure.
He also makes a great watchdog—alert and aware, but not overly barky. Theodore would be happiest with an active family who wants an engaged, affectionate companion and is excited to continue his training journey with him.
