My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bandytt is fostered in Sullivan, IL

This handsome little devil is Bandytt.  He is 2 years old and weighs about 15 lbs.  He came into rescue when the human child has some serious medical issues.  Bandytt is a black tri male toy australian shepherd.  Bandytt has some specific needs in his adoptive home!

Bandytt is an adorable little guy, but he will require an adopter who is committed to continuing his socialization.  Bandytt is shy, timid and is quite skeptical of new people.  He will warm up only after a calm, quiet meeting where there are high value treats involved.  For this reason, Bandytt would do best with someone who has some herding breed experience AND another confident, social dog in the home.

Bandytt is crate trained and house trained.  He thrives on a consistent schedule.  He would do best with an adopter who has a calmer home environment.  Bandytt loves car rides, playing with the resident dog (his size) and doing chores with his foster mom.  Bandytt is great in the car, has great leash walking manners, and has excellent recall outside (once bonded).  He has done great with grooming, although he isn't fond of that blow dryer.

Do you have what it takes to get Bandytt to the next level when meeting others?  If so, please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.

Bandytt is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms.  Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.  For more information on our adoption process or to complete an adoption application, please visit our website.

NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org

Additional adoption info

Meeting any dog within MASR requires an approved adoption application on file. We process as quickly as possible via volunteers. Then connect an applicant one at a time with a dog and foster home to arrange a meet and greet. If all parties at the meet and greet, including the dog, are in agreement that it is a good fit, the dog goes home that day.
