Starfire is in need of a foster home while she awaits further medical treatment.
Foster Reason: Awaiting Specialty Surgery + URI
Foster Time Frame: 1 week Foster time frame could be longer depending on future medical results and needs.
Foster Care Plan: Starfire is currently taking Caprofen and Gabapentin for her femoral fracture. She will be taking the medications for the next week to help with her pain and discomfort until we get further notice on her exact surgery date. Starfire is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. Since they may be contagious to other pets, we strongly recommend housing them in a separate, dedicated space such as a spare bathroom or bedroom until they have fully recovered. She will have a medical consult upon pickup and the Operation Kindness Foster Team will supply all items necessary for a successful foster journey.
Foster to Adopt Program: Starfire is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which allows pets awaiting or undergoing medical treatment to be placed with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption.
