Darla is a playful, sassy little sweetheart with a whole lot of personality.
She loves to play hard for hours both indoors and out, then settle in for a good nap before she’s ready to do it all again. Darla brings the fun wherever she goes and keeps everyone entertained.
When it comes to affection, Darla likes to do things her way. She will run in for big, sloppy kisses and surprise you with quick bursts of love. Sometimes she will lay right next to you, but most of the time she prefers to stretch out nearby where she can keep an eye on everything. If she really wants attention, she will simply sit and stare at you until you get the message. It is impossible to resist.
Darla is a fast eater and quite the selective foodie. She carefully picks out her favorite bites, green beans, peas, and turkey.
Like her brother, she loves splashing in wading pools, snapping at the water, and dunking for leaves. She is always up for a little backyard adventure.
Darla would thrive in a home that appreciates her playful spirit, independent streak, and hilarious mealtime habits. She is full of love, you just have to earn those kisses.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.
