My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gillian & Sandra - the sweetest bonded pair around! If you’re looking for a pair of cats who are past the wild-child kitten phase but still play like kittens… these two are your girls. Gillian & Sandra are the perfect mix of goofy energy, gentle cuddles, and big personalities. These two love their toys. Wand toys? Obsessed. Feathery ones? Absolutely crazy for them. Furry mice and springs? Scattered everywhere within minutes. Gillian is always the first to dive in, while Sandra hangs back and then joins once she sees how much fun her sister’s having. Their favourite Saturday morning routine? Tearing around the room chasing each other before breakfast. They love to eat. Like, really love it. Churus are the key to their hearts, and Gillian may or may not try to be first in line every single time. Gillian is the adventurous one - this girl once supervised an escaped store bird with full manager-level intensity. She also enjoys napping on top of the cat treat bin like it’s her throne. Once she knows you, she’s totally fine being carried or held. And yes… she loves her Churus. Sandra is more of a “get to know you first” type. She prefers people who sit down at her level with a Churu in hand - then she’ll happily walk all over you (literally). She’s gentle, sweet, and loves to cuddle after she's burned off her energy. She’s the quieter of the two, but still has her silly moments. Both girls will be shy at first in a new home, so they’ll thrive somewhere calm and patient, where they can settle in on their own timeline. Once they feel safe, they’re affectionate, playful, and endlessly entertaining. Sandra & Gillian are good with other cats, but they MUST be adopted together.

Gillian & Sandra came to us as kittens after living the barn life – which is no life for young kittens. They spent time in foster and then moved to the adoption centre, where they are still waiting for their forever home at last.

If you’re looking for a pair of playful, sweet, slightly goofy sisters who will keep you laughing and fill your home with warmth, Sandra & Gillian are ready to meet you.

More about this rescue

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.

We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
