Ginger is a gentle Mastiff who came to me from the shelter after being removed from a home by Animal Control. When she arrived, she was scared, shut down, & unsure of the world. With patience & kindness, she has blossomed into a snuggly, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than a safe, steady home & a trusted human to bond with. She is goofy, playful, & occasionally “talks back.” She communicates her needs well, although she can be a bit stubborn.
Ginger shows many Boerboel traits, although her exact breed is unknown. She is excellent on a leash & has great recall. She was originally fostered with her companion Clover, & I ultimately adopted them both. Unfortunately, a planned adoption fell through, and I am now struggling to meet Ginger’s needs financially and time-wise. This decision is especially hard after losing a beloved dog in June.
Though still cautious with new people—esp men—Ginger has an incredible capacity for deep connection. She is truly a diamond in the rough.
