My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Note: Arthur is living in his loving foster home in Vancouver, BC.

Background
Arthur was rescued this past spring from a city pound in Milyang, Korea, as part of our “Save 100 Dogs” campaign. He lived with other dogs at our boarding house until he left Korea. Arthur is currently living in his foster home in Vancouver, BC.

Personality & Socialization
Arthur is a gentle, sweet, and affectionate boy with a calm spirit. He has a medium energy level and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. When it comes to people, Arthur couldn’t be more loving. He thrives on attention, enjoys being close, and is always ready for snuggles.

Behaviour
Arthur is well-mannered and easy to care for. He does well during car rides, grooming, and bath time. While he’s still learning to walk confidently on a leash, he’s eager to please and generally follows his people well. He is house-trained and is quiet.

Health & Diet
Arthur is in great health. He’s been fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and receives regular parasite prevention. He eats dry kibble and has no known allergies or special dietary needs.

Ideal Home
Arthur would do best in a quiet, loving home with another gentle dog who can be his companion and playmate. A family that works from home or has someone around most of the time would be ideal.

Arthur is a mellow, sweet little soul who has waited a long time for a family of his own. If you’re looking for a kind-hearted companion to share your days with, Arthur might just be the one.

More about this rescue

Free Korean Dogs is a registered charity founded in 2015 with the mission to rescue, rehabilitate and find forever-loving homes for dogs saved from the Korean dog meat trade.

We divide our mission across three basic pillars: rescue, adopt, and engage. Since 2015, we’ve made huge advances in all three areas, shutting down three dog meat farm operations, facilitating the adoption of 1,800 rescue dogs, and launching Freedom Walk, our annual event to raise public awareness about the Korean dog meat trade:

RESCUE
Our organization has made significant strides in rescuing dogs from the dog meat trade, high-kill shelters and other high-risk conditions in Korea. We shut down dog meat farms and liberated over 500 dogs from unbearable suffering and despair.

ADOPT
Through our unwavering commitment, we have found forever-loving homes for more than 1,800 dogs rescued from brutal circumstances. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to rehabilitate these animals and find them a new life filled with love and care.

ENGAGE
Our mission extends beyond rescue and adoption; we are dedicated to building a compassionate community. Through educational campaigns and events, we engage with individuals and organizations to create a cultural shift from cruelty to compassion.
