My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Walter is 9 years old and has been with us for 8 years. He’s incredibly sweet, cuddly, and calm with adults, and happiest lounging around the house or sunbathing. Unfortunately, he does not do well with small children or other dogs. Despite extensive training and professional help, his behavior around our toddler has remained unpredictable.

When our son was 9 months old, Walter bit him after being approached while eating. We’ve managed carefully since then, but with a toddler now and another baby due in two weeks, we cannot ensure everyone’s safety — including Walter’s peace and well-being.

For these reasons, we’ve made the heartbreaking decision to rehome him to an adult-only, dog-free home. He would thrive with a single person or couple looking for a loyal, low-maintenance companion. He is extremely sweet, cuddly and loving to adult humans.
