Tippy is a handsome tabby and white fellow that was born in February 2024 and brought to SCP as a tiny baby after he was found in a backyard. He had been available for adoption with us for just over a year when all of a sudden he began to not feel well and lost a ton of weight. He was diagnosed with FIP, a previously deadly disease in cats until recently when a revolutionary new medicine became available in the US. Tippy has been the first cat in our program to try out this new medicine and we’re thrilled to report that he has made a complete recovery! He is now back to looking for his purrfect family so if you’d like to audition please let his SCP staff know :)
The cat adoption fee is $120 (or $190 for two cats). Second Chance Pets is a foster-based organization so all animals live in foster homes throughout the area. All cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV and feline leukemia, fully vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed and microchipped. Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Clear Lake Petco (2410 Bay Area Blvd, Houston 77058).
