Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A little bit about Romeo: - unknown history with kids; all interactions should be supervised - has lived with cats previously, requires slow, supervised introductions - has lived with dogs - highly dog social; dogs okay pending successful introduction;
Meet Romeo, your new best friend! This sweet boy will surely bring lots of fun and excitement to your home, as he`s quite an active fellow with a wonderful snuggly side! Previous homes have described Romeo as a bit of a unicorn dog - he`s perfectly house-trained, quiet, comfortable being left alone, and never chews anything inappropriate. After a rough start, Romeo is nervous of stern voices and loud noises, but as long as you treat him with kindness he`ll repay you ten-fold!
Romeo is a very intelligent pup who will benefit highly from daily mental and physical enrichment. He especially loves hiking and visiting the mountains on adventures. Romeo is nervous of horses, but he absolutely adores other dogs and would be thrilled to find some new friends in his new home. But he has also successfully lived with cats, so with proper introductions, could peacefully co-exist with felines too!
Romeo has many of his basic commands and skills down, and would be great choice for someone who is new to owning dogs, but eager to learn! Just make sure you are prepared to commit to daily walks, brain games and other activities, as Romeo is not a couch potato kind of dog!

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
