My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tigris — The Gentle Shadow With a Growing Heart 🖤

Tigris is a sleek, 7-month-old all-black kitten with a soft spirit and a heart that’s slowly opening up. When she first arrived, she was extremely feral, but he has been steadily learning to trust—and she’s now the more naturally affectionate of the sibling pair (Nile is her sister!).

Tigris loves to play, explore, chase the laser, and splash around in the water dish with her sister. She’s vocal around mealtime and is very food motivated, especially for dry kitten treats. Her loud purr and big, expressive eyes make it clear she wants to connect… she’s just figuring out how. She has recently begun allowing pets without needing a treat, which is a huge milestone.

She is still shy with new people and may hide at first, but once she feels secure, she will bond deeply. Like her sister, Tigris cannot be an only cat. She absolutely thrives with other animals—especially cats—and looks to them for guidance and comfort. The 1-year-old resident cat has become her mentor, wrestling buddy, and safe place.

Tigris would love to be adopted with her sister Nile, but she can also go to a home with at least one friendly, confident cat who can help her continue building trust.
