My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to MarshaMallow, she`s very hoppy to meet you! This gentle, easy-going rabbit is timid at first but soon you`ll see her social and wonderfully curious personality. Once she feels comfortable, she loves to zoom around, explore new spaces, and show off her joyful binkies—sometimes with impressively high jumps!

MarshaMallow keeps a tidy space and appreciates a well-set-up area with a roomy exercise pen, soft flooring, and a clean litter box. She’ll thrive with daily free-roam time, plenty of enrichment toys, and a bunny-proofed home to keep her safe while she investigates.

Her diet should include unlimited hay, fresh greens, and a measured portion of pellets to keep her happy and healthy. Sweet, gentle, and full of personality, MarshaMallow is ready to hop her way into a loving forever home.

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
