Meet Button, a handsome white and black guinea pig with a big personality! Button was sadly found abandoned alongside multiple other guinea pigs, but is making up for the hard start to life by being a curious, bright, and ever so active boy! Because guinea pigs are social animals, Button may do well with a new piggy friend in his forever home.
Button is growing friendlier day by day as he gets used to his new life — especially when snacks are involved. When he’s not snacking or snuggling, Button loves to roam and explore so he can show of his excellent zoomies and popcorn skills, so a spacious, open-topped pen stocked with hay, fresh veggies, and the occasional fruity treat will make him happiest. He`s shown that he isn`t always the biggest fan of lettuce, and prefers things like parsley or cilantro!
Button`s Foster Parents want you to also know a little about him: very personable and chatty little chap - a bit shy of human hands, but young and extremely food motivated - with love and attention (and yummy food) he should warm up to his humans - active and vocal in the mornings and evenings. Cuddles up in his safety tunnel during the day
This sweet boy is ready to brighten his new home with his curious nature, wheeks, and charm—could you be the friend Button’s been looking for?

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
