Meet Delilah: A Brave Survivor Ready for a Loving Home
Delilah is a remarkable 4-year-old, 13-pound designer dog with a heartwarming story of resilience and hope. Rescued from the harsh conditions of a puppy mill, she is one of the lucky ones. Dogs like Delilah often face unique challenges as they adapt to a life filled with love and care, but with the right person by her side, she is sure to thrive.
Trust and Progress
Over time, Delilah has made significant strides in the trust department. While initially shy, she has begun to venture up to her caretakers, showing her friendly nature. She is still a work in progress but has shown a willingness to open up. Delilah needs a patient and kind soul who can help her continue on this journey, offering her the love and security she deserves.
Training and Temperament
Delilah is dog-friendly and has shown an ability to adapt well to her surroundings. She is crate trained and stays well within good fencing, making her an ideal companion for someone with a safe and secure yard. Her love for treats makes it easier to gain her trust and train her, as she is highly motivated by food rewards.
Health and Adoption
Delilah comes with a clean bill of health. She is up to date on all her vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. Delilah is ready to become a cherished member of a family that will appreciate her gentle spirit and help her grow.

More about this rescue
BMAR is a No-Kill facility: a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals, a home for the homeless, a haven for the mistreated, neglected, or abused animals of Sabine & surrounding counties. BMAR also runs a sanctuary for those deemed unadoptible due to medical and behavior issues.
100% Volunteer Rescue. We have no animal control, Humane Society, or SPCA operating in our area leaving animals in dire straights.
BMAR is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty & abuse to all animals & livestock.
We currently only adopt to states and Canada where we have a network in place to monitor animals and help with problems.
BMAR backs it's dogs for life and will take back no matter how long and at any time if circumstance arise and you cannot keep your pet.
