My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Please contact LiQi for more information about this pet.

Thanks for your interest in a pet from A.R.F.! If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/

Lenux & Carl — A Bonded Pair Looking for a Gentle New Beginning

Lenux and Carl are two sweet senior front-paw declawed kitties who recently arrived at A.R.F. after their beloved owner was sent to hospice. Their lives changed overnight, but what is clear is how deeply they love and rely on one another.

Lenux is an eleven- year-old gray tabby with a tender, cautious heart. He is scared in his new surroundings and takes comfort in staying close to Carl, his best friend and source of confidence. He allows some petting on his head and he licks Churu treats off of the volunteers’ fingers.  Ten-year-old Carl, a handsome orange tabby, is the braver of the two. He loves being brushed.  He likes to sit on  the laps of the volunteers at A.R.F.’s cat center, which is located at the Wheaton PetSmart. He also climbs on the shoulders of some of the volunteers. He  weighs  14 pounds, so he is trying to lose some weight. Together, they make a gentle, devoted pair who have weathered a lot of change side by side.

These boys deserve a peaceful home where their bond can stay intact and where they can finally relax again. If you have room in your heart and home, please consider welcoming Lenux and Carl — two loving souls ready for a second chance.

Both cats are  micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations,  neutered , and litter box trained.

Their combined adoption fee is $400 ($200 each).  If you are interested in meeting  Lenux & Carl,  please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! We are  based in Wheaton, IL and conduct adoption events in the DuPage County area. If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, please submit an adoption application at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/

Adoption appointments are scheduled based on the order of applications received, so submit your application early! Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions or schedule meetings until your application has been approved. More information about our adoption process can be found on our website here: https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/

As an all-volunteer, foster home-based organization, A.R.F. Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. Please visit https://www.arf-il.org/events/ for a list of our upcoming adoption events.

Thank you for choosing to adopt, not shop!
