My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bernie! At just 16 weeks old, Bernie is a loving Lab/Mastiff mix with a big heart and an even bigger future. She’s a social butterfly who thrives around other dogs, so she’s looking for a home with a canine companion to show her the ropes and share in her playtime fun.

Bernie is expected to grow into a larger adult dog, so she’d do best with a fenced-in yard where she can stretch her legs, explore safely, and burn off her puppy energy. She’s sweet, curious, and eager to bond with her people—and with her gentle nature, she’s sure to make a wonderful addition to the right family.

If you’re ready to welcome a playful, affectionate pup into your life, Bernie can’t wait to meet you!

Bernie will come with age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, microchipped and up to date on heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $250.

More about this rescue

Lucky 13 Rescue is a federal 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the rescue and aid of homeless and neglected dogs in the Kansas City metro and surrounding rural areas. We do not limit our efforts to a specific breed, but rather strive to assist any dog that is facing neglect, homelessness, abuse or death. Our ultimate goal is to rehabilitate each canine in our care through placement in loving fosters homes until they can be carefully matched with adoptive families.
