Meet Lovely Rita
Lovely Rita’s journey began when she was found pregnant at a local shelter. She came into rescue, safely delivered five beautiful babies, and devoted herself to raising every one of them. Now that her mama duties are complete, it’s finally her turn to be someone’s baby.
Lovely Rita is FIV positive, which simply means she carries the virus. It has not slowed her down one bit — she healed beautifully from both her spay and a hernia repair. Many FIV-positive cats live long, happy, completely normal lives, and Rita is a wonderful example of that.
FIV is only transmitted through deep bite wounds. It cannot be passed to humans or dogs. Cats with FIV can safely share litter boxes, food bowls, cozy nap spots, and everyday life with other cats. There are many myths about FIV, and we’re always happy to share accurate information with anyone who would like to learn more.
Why You’ll Love Her
Calm, gentle, and incredibly sweet
Loves pets and affection
Does well with other cats after a proper introduction
Likely fine with a calm, cat-friendly dog
Good with children
Lovely Rita has the softest, most loving presence. She’s the kind of girl who leans into your hand for pets and quietly melts into your heart. She doesn’t demand attention — she simply radiates warmth.
After raising her babies so lovingly, Rita deserves a home where she can finally relax, be cherished, and soak up all the love for herself.
You can meet Lovely Rita at Whisker Station Cat Cafe — she’s ready to find the forever family she deserves.
