Greetings, I'm FLOOFY (but you can call me Maggie), and here is a bit of info about me:

A tiny, affectionate survivor who once dreamed of freedom from a cage and is now looking for a single person to be her whole world.

In a quiet village, there once lived a puppy who couldn't run or play.
Instead, a tiny bird cage was my entire world, so small I couldn’t even stretch my legs.
Watching the sky through those wires, my heart dreamed of warmth and gentle hands.

Most people walked by, but one day, a kind person saw the plea in my big, sad eyes.
They came back, opened the cage, and lifted me into the fresh air for the very first time.
Since that moment, stretching my legs and wagging my tail with hope has become my new favorite thing!

Being a "cuddly little bug," I’m the perfect companion for snuggling during those cold Canadian winter nights.
Since arriving here, learning my new name, Maggie, and mastering "sit" and "stay" has been a fun adventure.

"Car rides make me a great travel buddy, and despite being small, my heart is huge for toys and chew sticks.
When the day ends, there’s nothing better than falling asleep right in your arms.

I can be very protective of my person and don't like sharing it with others!

My ideal match is a single-person household without cats or kids.
I need someone who has the time and patience to help me feel secure.

• Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.


• Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.


• The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.


• [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.
