**Note: Bangwool is currently in a foster home in Toronto and is ready to meet her forever family.
Background
Bangwool and her sister, Bambi, were rescued from a city pound in Milyang, Korea this summer. She lived in a boarding facility with other dogs until she left Korea. Currently, she is in her foster home living with two dogs in Toronto.
Personality & Socialization
Bangwool can be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a gentle and loving companion. She is submissive, gentle, and very sweet-natured. Bangwool gets along well with calm, friendly dogs, though she may feel uneasy around dominant or overly energetic ones.
Behaviour
Bangwool is quiet, gentle, and easy to be around. She has been well-mannered at the vet and even during bath time. While she’s still learning to walk confidently on a leash, once she trusts her person, she’s happy to follow along. More than anything, she loves to stay close to her human, finding comfort in their presence.
Health & Diet
Bangwool is spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and on monthly parasite prevention. She is healthy and ready to meet her forever family. She enjoys her kibble twice a day and has shown no signs of allergies.
Ideal Home
Bangwool would do best in a calm, quiet home with patient adopters who can give her time to build confidence at her own pace. A home with another gentle dog would be a wonderful match for her. Previous dog experience would be a plus, but above all, Bangwool just needs a loving, steady family who will cherish her.

Free Korean Dogs is a registered charity founded in 2015 with the mission to rescue, rehabilitate and find forever-loving homes for dogs saved from the Korean dog meat trade.
We divide our mission across three basic pillars: rescue, adopt, and engage. Since 2015, we’ve made huge advances in all three areas, shutting down three dog meat farm operations, facilitating the adoption of 1,800 rescue dogs, and launching Freedom Walk, our annual event to raise public awareness about the Korean dog meat trade:
RESCUE
Our organization has made significant strides in rescuing dogs from the dog meat trade, high-kill shelters and other high-risk conditions in Korea. We shut down dog meat farms and liberated over 500 dogs from unbearable suffering and despair.
ADOPT
Through our unwavering commitment, we have found forever-loving homes for more than 1,800 dogs rescued from brutal circumstances. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to rehabilitate these animals and find them a new life filled with love and care.
ENGAGE
Our mission extends beyond rescue and adoption; we are dedicated to building a compassionate community. Through educational campaigns and events, we engage with individuals and organizations to create a cultural shift from cruelty to compassion.
