My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌙 Meet Gregg — The Sweet, Fluffy Old Soul of Your Dreams 🌙

If you’ve ever wished for a kitten who feels like a cozy blanket come to life, look no further — Gregg is your guy. With his soft fluffy fur, gentle eyes, and “hold me forever” personality, this boy is pure magic.

Gregg is incredibly cuddly. He’ll curl up in your arms for hours, completely content just being close to you. If you’re relaxing on the couch? He’ll melt right into your chest. Working at your desk? Expect a warm, purring helper. He could happily be pet all day long and never get tired of your affection.

But don’t let his mellow sweetness fool you — Gregg also loves to play with toys, explore, and show off his soft little pounces. He has the spirit of a kitten but the heart of a wise old soul, making him the perfect blend of playful and peaceful.

He’s gentle, affectionate, and so easy to love. Truly a doll of a kitten.

🏡 Ready to bring home a kitten who just wants to love and be loved? Gregg is waiting for you.
He’s litter-box trained, vaccinated, fixed, and ready for his forever family.

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.

In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.

CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
