My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ned — the sweetest little senior sidekick you’ll ever meet. At 10 years old and just 8.5 pounds, this miniature poodle mix is the definition of a gentle soul. Ned may be tiny, but his heart (and his curly little tail) have a way of filling a home with calm, happy energy.

Ned is an easygoing companion who loves being near his people—whether he’s curled up on the couch, snoozing while you watch TV, or quietly supervising meal prep like the world’s cutest sous chef. He enjoys soft treats and pup cups, making him an excellent food critic despite having no teeth!

He moves around the house with ease, happily exploring on his own or settling in near other dogs. He’s been friendly with everyone he’s met—men, women, and dogs of all sizes—and his foster family says he “doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.” He walks nicely on leash, enjoys car rides, and is overall just a sweet, loyal, adaptable little guy.

Ned is house trained when kept on a routine and does great sleeping loose in the house, usually choosing a comfy couch spot. He’s still settling in and may show more interest in toys as he relaxes fully.

If you’re looking for a quiet, gentle, loving companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Ned is ready to be your tiny best friend. Senior dogs have a special kind of magic—and Ned is no exception. His minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
