If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We have 3 cats and I would like to rehome this one. Didi is 5 years old and does do well with other cats but does not like dogs.
He is more of an anxious cat. He wolfs down every meal as if he starving, then he pushes the other cats aside to eat their food. He gained extra weight because of this. I had to cut food portion for all 3 to get him to lose weight. This is part of the reason I'm rehoming him.
He will run and hide when we have guests and won't come out until guests have left. So with a new family, it will take him time to acclimate but once he is used to the usual people around, he loves attention and is quite playful.
We used to be in the countryside and allowed our cats to go outside. Didi would love being let out periodically (if safe to do so). At night, he loves to snuggle next to your legs.
Because of the mealtime issue, I think he might do best without other pets around or you just have to monitor mealtime if there are other cats.
