My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I`m Ginger, a beautiful and temperamental young kitty. Although I`m just past kittenhood myself, I have just finished up with my first and last litter of kittens. I was a fine mother and I`m now ready to adjust to life with fewer responsibilities.

I am still figuring out life with humans and as a result, I send mixed signals. I might hiss at you, then immediately close my eyes expecting to be petted. I`ll cry when you leave and hiss when you come back. I may swat and purr at the same time. I`m looking for experienced cat owners who can love me for who I am, appreciate my unique quirks, and learn to read my body language. For example: When I`m under furniture, please leave me alone. When I`m on furniture or walking around, I`m more open to interaction. I`m looking for a calm household and a predictable environment in which I can continue to learn to trust. Older respectful teens and up, please, no younger children.

I love other cats and I`ll be a great buddy to another kitty. I will be happiest living with another welcoming cat

I am FIV-positive, and that shouldn`t be a worry. With regular vet care, I can live a very long time. With slow introductions, I can safely live with other kitties, without risk of infecting them.

If you have experience with challenging cats and you want to work with me so we can learn to trust each other, please consider me!
