My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 1.5 years

If you`re looking for a cat that thrives on attention, get ready to meet Meatball! Having come to us as he was under-stimulated in his previous home, Meatball is looking for a family that can offer him lots of playtime, enrichment activities, and all of the attention he can get! He always wants to be a part of the action and will even meow if there is a door keeping him from seeing you. It`s also recommended that Meatball`s new home has no young kids since he can be conflicted at times when it comes to being pet. If you have the time and energy to help meet Meatball`s needs (and get all of the love in return!), then come learn more about Meatball today!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
