My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Introducing adorable Pooh!!! This little guy has progressed so much in his foster home in a short time, but he still needs gentle direction, slower movements, and lots of attention and love. When Pooh first arrived he did not trust us humans, but knowing what he has been through and how much he has improved is a testament to his sweet nature. Yes, he still needs help and guidance, and yes, he is still timid and hand shy, but above all Pooh WANTS to be loved. So...for his continued progress Pooh really needs a canine playmate, male or female, big or small. It is absolutely delightful to watch Pooh cavorting with dogs he has had a chance to become familiar with. His tail is going a million miles an hour, he's jumping and jiggling, and his face is full of joy!  Also, Pooh really needs a fenced yard. He thrives on being outside whether there's sunshine or clouds. He loves smelling the smells, bird watching or playing with his best buddy dog. He clearly prefers outdoors to indoors. The fence would also keep him safe as Pooh could quite possibly be a flight risk -- until he becomes very familiar with his new situation. Pooh would be great with children aged 12 and up and he is absolutely fine with cats. He is heartworm positive but he is being treated mid-December and has shown no symptoms, so recovery should be smooth. Pooh's transformation so far has been nothing short of amazing. If his new family will make the small investment towards his his continued growth and adaptation, we just know they will be hugely rewarded!
