What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet Lord John Gray, an 80-ish pound, goofy, loving, highly trainable work-in-progress who needs a very specific home.
He’s almost a year old, neutered, healthy, and has a solid base of training (he’ll need refreshers). He’s smart, extremely food-motivated, and loves to please. But he has serious resource guarding issues (his person is a resource, for instance) and absolutely needs a job - daily structure, mental work, and real activity.
He has strong resource-guarding tendencies and must be the only animal in the home, and probably should not be around young children. Continued muzzle training is recommended for outings and vet care. He’s energetic, jumps up, and needs an experienced owner who understands positive reinforcement behavior management.
In return, he’ll give you endless affection: after a busy day of “having a job”, he lives for flopping on the sofa and snuggling his person - and will reward you with fragrant toots. With consistency and purpose, he’ll thrive.
