💛 Meet Gizmo — 13-Year-Old Pug, Gentle Soul, and Professional Shadow 💛
Gizmo is a sweet senior gentleman who recently found his way to safety after being discovered wandering near neighborhood recycling bins. Lost, dehydrated, and struggling with his mobility, this 13-year-old pug is now safe, cared for, and finally getting the comfort he deserves.
Gizmo is a neutered male pug, beige in color, and easy to identify thanks to his endearing quirks: he is blind in one eye and partially deaf, but his heart is wide open and full of love. Despite everything he’s been through, he is incredibly sweet, calm, and social with people and other dogs.
He eats and drinks well, takes treats gently, and enjoys being around his humans. In fact, he loves closeness so much that he has a bit of attachment anxiety — he’s a classic “little shadow” who follows his person wherever they go. After being lost and alone, it’s no surprise he finds comfort in staying nearby.
Gizmo does have weak hind legs and some coordination issues, common for seniors but still worth exploring with a vet to determine if it’s arthritis, injury, or neurological. Even so, he gets around, enjoys companionship, and is potty trained.
This resilient boy is microchipped, though attempts to contact the registered owner were unsuccessful. What matters now is that Gizmo is safe, loved, and ready to start his next chapter.
Gizmo would thrive in a quiet, gentle home that welcomes his need for closeness and offers soft beds, slow-paced days, and lots of reassurance. He’s a tender little heart who has been through more than he can say — and he’s ready to feel secure again.
If you have room in your home and heart for a loyal senior companion, Gizmo will adore you every single day. 💛
