My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This kitten is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN.* Visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application/ to apply.

George may be a tiny kitten in a big world, but he’s already mastered the art of stealing hearts. At first, he can be a bit shy — large spaces and new environments feel overwhelming to him — but offer this sweet boy a toy or a Churu treat and he’ll come out of his shell with adorable enthusiasm. Once you’ve earned his trust, George becomes the ultimate cuddle companion. He loves to be snuggled, petted, and even enjoys gentle belly rubs. With every touch, his purr motor revs up and his biscuit-making paws get to work. He’s a “love bug” through and through, and he’ll happily boop noses with you or gently nibble on your fingers to show affection. George is endlessly entertaining. Whether he’s launching himself at toys that dangle from his crate or wrestling his stuffed animals into submission, he brings joyful kitten chaos wherever he goes. George's playtime has mostly been in a large crate or small enclosed space. But that hasn’t stopped him from turning his little world into a playground. He thrives when introduced slowly to new rooms and feels safest when he has a cozy place—like an open crate or covered bed—where he can retreat if he feels overwhelmed. Despite his timidity, George is remarkably trusting once he warms up. He’s been around dogs only through a crate or exercise pen and hasn’t seemed overly stressed by them. George will blossom in a quiet, patient home. He would do best with adults or families with older children (preteens or teens) who can give him the gentle, consistent reassurance he needs. He should remain an indoor-only kitty for his safety, and his new family should be willing to start him in a small, comfortable room while he gains confidence. George is tender, playful, quirky, and deeply affectionate once he chooses you. If you’re looking for a kitten who will snuggle close, purr loud, and fill your home with sweetness and soft paws kneading the air, George may be your perfect match. Ready to give this shy-but-loving little explorer a safe place to grow and a family to adore? George can’t wait to meet you!

All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption.
