A sweeter girl than Betty Purr you will not find! The wonder is how this precious lovebug could be so cuddly, trusting, and adoring since she was found starving and covered in motor oil. Thank goodness her rescue changed all that! She has been thriving in excellent foster care where she is a quiet, gentle sweetheart who loves to cuddle as she purrs contentedly and is a wonderful sleeping companion who likes to give your cheek little kitty kisses! Her favorite playtime includes chasing her fluttery feather, and she is good with dogs but hasn’t been exposed to kids. Her classic black ensemble makes her always dressed for any occasion, and her face is picture-perfect, with golden eyes highlighted with black velvet “drapes”. Adorable Betty Purr is ready for her happy forever in the circle of a sweet family’s enduring love and affection. How about yours?

All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and ear mites, tested for FELV/FIV and microchipped. You must fill out an adoption application and talk directly with one of our adoption coordinators. An adoption contract must be signed at time of adoption.

You may visit The Cat House daily, except major holidays, 1-4 pm, by appointment only. We also have an off-site adoption center located inside Petco at 4144 N. Blackstone at Ashlan in Fresno, which is open open daily 10am-5pm and Wednesday 10am-6pm.

The Cat House on the Kings is California's largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center located on 12 acres along the Kings River in Parlier, California, which is in the central San Joaquin Valley, southeast of Fresno.

At The Cat House, our mission is to:
1) provide a no-cage, no-kill sanctuary for feral and abandoned cats and kittens for the State of California, primarily serving the Central Valley;
2) facilitate the adoption of cats (primarily), dogs and other rescued animals into safe, loving, healthy and permanent homes;
3) educate the public on how to become directly involved in improving the quality of animal welfare;
4) offer low cost spay and neuter referrals.
