My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Who will give Sadie the Christmas miracle she so deeply deserves? 🎄❤️
Sadie was abandoned at our shelter in the middle of a cold night, scared and alone. After all she has been through, she underwent surgery and is now healing beautifully. Her spirit is shining again, and she’s finally ready for a home where she can live out her golden years in peace, comfort, and love.
Sadie is about 10 years old, a sweet medium-sized Lab mix, and truly one of the gentlest souls you’ll ever meet. She does wonderfully with cats and other dogs, but she isn’t comfortable around small children, so an adult-only or older-kids home would be her perfect fit.
Because she’s a senior girl, she does need to be let out a little more often for potty breaks, so someone who is home more frequently would be ideal. She just wants a routine, a soft bed, and someone who will be there for her.
We’ve loved watching her personality blossom — she now plays with toys, carries them proudly, and even tries to share them with us. Seeing her come out of her shell has been nothing short of magical.
Sadie absolutely deserves a warm home for Christmas. We adore her, and we know you will too.
Please come meet her — she’s ready to curl up next to someone who will never let her down again. All cats and dogs adopted from the Chequamegon Humane Association are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. Dogs are tested for heartworm. A minimum adoption fee of $185 is required for adult dogs, puppy adoption fees start $300, and dogs over the age of 10 are $100. Adult cat adoption fees are $85, kittens under one year are $135, and cats over the age of 10 are $50.
