My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hayang (4 yrs, Spayed Female)

Breed: Jindo Mix

Color: White / Gray

Weight: 16 kg

Height: 51 cm (shoulder height)

Rescue Story

Hayang was rescued from a neglect situation. Her previous owner, who struggled with alcoholism, was hospitalized and left her unattended. A concerned neighbor brought her to the local shelter, where she was sadly listed for euthanasia until rescue intervened.

Human Socialization

Hayang is incredibly affectionate and loves people — both familiar faces and strangers.

She happily approaches, leans in for attention, and allows touch easily.

She used to tremble around men (likely due to past abuse), but now accepts gentle male touch comfortably.

She also does very well with children under 13 and can be gently lifted while being held.

Dog Socialization

Hayang is social and friendly with both known and unfamiliar dogs.

She’s the type who chooses one dog she really likes and plays with them nonstop rather than playing with a big group.

She prefers dogs with a similar body size and especially enjoys companions she can confidently play-wrestle with.

She avoids conflict even if another dog challenges her and gets along well with high-energy dogs.

If your home already has a playful dog, the two may keep each other entertained all day!

Cats

No experience living with cats. Cat-testing can be arranged.

Energy Level

Moderate. She enjoys outdoor activity but settles calmly afterward.

Walks

She’s an experienced walker — does not pull and follows her handler well.

Other Behaviors

• No resource guarding toward people or other dogs

• Originally not food-motivated, but after shelter living she now eagerly asks for treats

• No separation anxiety

• Rarely barks

• Rides well in a car and stays calm in a kennel

• Currently potty trained outdoors
