Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Nala is currently being fostered and is a completely different dog. She is coming out of her shell and becoming playful as well as learning to trust. Below is the notes from her shelter intake.
She’s 7 years old, trembling, confused, and desperately trying to hold herself together.
Nala #A5734179 was owner-surrendered for being fearful and reactive -
but fear is NOT a crime.
Fear is a cry for safety.
And now she has none.
When she arrived, she was frozen with fear, growling softly to protect herself.
She tucked her tail, flattened her ears, and pressed her body against anything that felt solid.
She hid on top of a table during her assessment -
the only place where the noise and chaos didn’t feel so overwhelming.
But even in her fear…
She allowed gentle petting.
She let handlers touch her paws, her tail, her ears.
She stood still, trying to be brave and tolerated other dogs.
Her eyes said everything:
“Please… be gentle. Please don’t hurt me.” She’s trying so hard to trust again.
She coexisted quietly with calm dogs.
