Greta after spay and complete shave down on 11/10. Mats were horrendous, all the way down to skin. Also extremely hungry. She is about 1.5 years old, vet says Schnauzer mix, She weighs 8 lbs. Super sweet, life hasn’t been the kindest to her. She has come around very nicely. Loves the other little dog in her foster and was fine with the front dogs in the shelter. She is good with foster’s cats, eats like a horse now. No one is more deserving of a family and home for the holidays. Greta will be here 12/6.

Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.
PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.
