My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mini! If you looked up ‘tiny but mighty’ in the dictionary you would find a picture of this kitten. Mini has truly beat the odds and with the help of SBZ has grown up into a fabulous kitten who is ready for her forever home.

First things first, Mini has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). Sure, she wobbles when she walks, and she often loses her balance and falls over, but in her own special way she gets around just fine. Despite having CH Mini is the queen of her foster home. She is a tiny cat with a huge personality and an even bigger purr. She loves nothing more than to play with her favourite ball tower toy, have floppy zoomies chasing her fuzzy mouse, roll around in her cardboard scratcher castle, and scream at her humans to pick her up and give her snuggles.

Mini is the perfect blend of curious kitten and snuggly love bug. Her ideal forever family will be kind and patient. Mini is pretty independent, and sometimes this gets her into sticky situations where she needs a bit of help. But don’t worry, Mini is a chatty cat and she will meow to ask for help when she gets stuck or needs a lift.

Mini does need a few accommodations to set her up for success in her forever home.
– A low entry high sided litter box. Mini can use the litter box all by herself but she will need her humans to buy her one with a lower entry and high walls to help her balance while she does her business.
– Paper or pine pelleted litter. Clay cat litter is too slippery for her to balance on so she will need her humans to buy her paper or pine pelleted litter.
– No access to stairs. Mini will need her humans to put a baby gate or barrier to prevent her from falling down stairs.
– A cat water fountain. Mini loves her cat fountain and we would suggest getting one to make it easier for her to get a drink. Water bowls can be a little too light for her and she ends up flipping them by accident.

If you’re looking to add one of the most special cats to your family please consider meeting Mini! CH doesn’t require any special vet care and Mini will only continue to get stronger and stronger the more she grows. She would be happy to be a solo kitten or live in a house with other cats.
