Primo came in as a stray on 11/25/25, and we think he’s about 2 years old. He is an absolute sweetheart—friendly, affectionate, and always ready to brighten your day. Primo loves giving gentle hugs and big, sloppy kisses, and his playful spirit shines the moment you bring out toys or treats.
He’s the kind of dog who makes every day a little happier just by being near you. Primo is ready for a fresh start and a family to call his own, so hurry in to meet this lovable boy!

All adoptions are $199.00. Adoptions include the following: Vaccines, microchip, Current dog license, spay/neuter, de-worming medication.

Our office is open Monday- Friday 8:30-4:30 and Saturdays from 10:00-2:00. Our kennels are closed on Mondays. The kennels are open Tuesday- Friday 11:00-4:15, Saturdays we open 10:00-1:45.

Did you know... The Richland County Dog Warden's Office & Adoption Center is self-funded and does not receive any tax paying dollars. Our revenue comes from dog license fees, adoptions, impound fees, and YOUR donations. You can send Donations by check or money order to the shelter: 810 N. Home Rd. Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
The shelter always accepts cash donations. However, there are always other things we need too. You can call it a wish list: Bleach, laundry detergent, Capstar flea tablets, Advantage flea drops, pet shampoo,Paper Towels, and sturdy collars and leashes for our dogs here at the facility and those going on transport to rescue.
