My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Come meet Link and his friends at our adoption event on Sat 12/13 from 12-2pm at Pet Supplies Plus in Fridley!

Every hero has an origin story, and Link’s began in Kentucky. Born alongside his mama and siblings, this tiny adventurer needed extra help from the very beginning. While his littermates thrived, Link struggled to eat and required supplemental bottle-feeding. He was later surrendered to a vet clinic with a stubborn upper respiratory infection, but Link didn’t give up—and neither did his caregivers! He received multiple rounds of treatment, and although he eventually beat the active infection, the months of congestion left their mark.

What this means for Link today:

Link is healthy, playful, and full of kitten shenanigans—but he will always sound like a little snorty gremlin. His nasal passages are permanently narrowed, so he’s a loud breather, frequent sneezer, and will likely have a bit of congestion for life. He’s been fully treated for everything that’s treatable; what remains is simply part of who he is. No special medical care needed—just love, a normal vet routine, and someone who finds his quirky sounds endearing rather than alarming! Despite everything, Link has never once acted sick. He is a whirlwind of joy—zoomies, pouncing, snuggliness, and nonstop fun. He eats wonderfully, plays hard, cuddles even harder, and has a heart as big as his kitten energy.

Personality:

Link has two signature modes: Sweet and Play. In Play Mode, he’s bold, curious, and full of spirit. Off to explore, investigate, and conquer whatever new corner awaits him. He loves to play and chase his foster kitten siblings around the house, sometimes playing late into the night! When Sweet Mode activates, Link becomes the gentlest soul. His favorite love language? Head butts and biscuit making. He’ll press his forehead lovingly against you, kneading away like he’s crafting the world’s softest pastries. At bedtime, he transforms into a perfect snuggler, curling up at the foot of your bed or even on your pillow if you make room for him. Link is also a talker. He’ll let out tiny cries if he thinks he’s suddenly alone, but he settles quickly when reminded that his people are still right there with him.

Link’s Perfect Home:

Link would thrive with a family who appreciates his resilience and embraces his unique soundtrack. He does great with other cats and would love a playmate who can keep up. Link the adventurer also loves his current trusty companion Olive, his beloved rescue dog foster sibling! He adores snuggling up to her and making biscuits on her fur.

If you’re looking for a kitten with courage, charm, cuddles, and just the right amount of playfulness, Link is your boy. He’s ready for his next big quest: finding a forever family to love, protect, and adventure with. Link is currently fostered in Minneapolis.

Kittens do so much better in pairs, socially and developmentally! They have a playmate and cuddle buddy, even when their humans are gone. For this reason, our rescue does not adopt out single kittens, to homes without another YOUNG cat(s).

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is simple. The very first step is to fill out our adoption interest form through our website.

We'll look over your application and determine if the animal you are interested in is a good match for your family. If it looks like a good match, we will contact you to set up a time for you to meet the animal. If you decide after meeting him/her that you want to move forward with adoption, we will set up a home visit and finalize the adoption! Please note that filling out an interest form does not guarantee adoption of an animal, and we don't adopt out animals on a first come first serve basis. We endeavor to find the best match for all animals and families.

Adoption fees cover age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter (if old enough), and costs involved in caring for the animals up to the point of adoption. Adoption fees also help fund veterinary costs of animals who come to rescue that need extra care.
