Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Barbie finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) .
Barbie #5 | 7-Month-Old Shepherd Mix | Your Sweet Baby Girl
Barbie is a darling 7-month-old Shepherd mix puppy with a gentle heart and an eager-to-please spirit. With her soft blonde coat and soulful eyes, she’s as adorable as they come—and her personality is just as charming. While she can be a bit timid when first meeting new people or entering a new space, she warms up quickly with a little patience and kindness. Once she trusts you, she becomes a total cuddlebug who loves curling up beside you, resting her head on your lap, and rolling over for belly rubs. Affection truly motivates her, and she thrives when she feels connected to her humans.
Barbie is wonderfully playful and has had positive interactions with every dog she’s met. She loves toys, enjoys romping around with canine friends, and is the kind of pup who would especially thrive with another friendly dog in the home. She hasn’t been around cats or kids yet, but her sweet, gentle nature suggests she could adapt well with slow introductions.
Like many young pups, Barbie is just beginning her house-training journey and will need someone committed to helping her learn a consistent routine. She’s also still figuring out how to feel secure when left alone—she’s very much a baby who looks to her humans and dog friends for comfort. With structure, reassurance, and positive reinforcement, she’s sure to blossom into a confident, well-adjusted companion.
Barbie loves going on walks, settles nicely after age-appropriate playtime, and brings a sweet, calming presence to the home. She’s a young pup with so much love to give and so much potential waiting to be nurtured.

If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.
The adoption fee for this pet is $425. Our adoption fee covers the following:
Spay/neuter
Microchip
DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption.
