My name is Salami!

Salami is a short, chatty, stalker who has many opinions he shares liberally! His favorite activities are going for walks, following his people everywhere, and snuggling under the covers at bedtime. He's also a good little traveler, plays well with other dogs, has a great appetite, and prefers to nap touching his person. This intelligent little speckled paw pup learned how to use the steps, ramp and doggie door in record-breaking time and is house trained to boot! He shows no sign of ever having been mistreated but likes to be the boss of the home!  He is good with other dogs but likes to be alpha, so has a little bit of a jealous streak with his humans - something an experienced dachshund owner can probably work with!  No kids, we think he might be better in an adult only home.     As long as he has boundaries, and knows that you are the pack leader, Salami will be a good and happy companion.  He is a very stubborn but typical alpha dachshund.
