My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We’ve had Hachiko since she was a puppy from a breeder in California. 3 years ago she was struck by Glaucoma and lost her eyesight and eventually her eyes were removed via surgery. From then on it’s been a challenge to care for her. We have struggled to build her a consistent schedule with our frequent travel and busy work. Her blindness has caused anxiety and insecurity issues. In our absence we’ve tried leaving her in the backyard for a few hours which led to her scratching our doors to the point she bled. With cage training, each time we could see her visibly shaking and come back not soon after to find her with broken teeth and/or nails. It’s become even more difficult with a toddler in our life. We feel that we’ve been giving her the bare minimum for a while now and she deserves someone who will care for her with the love and attention she needs. She rarely barks, is very sweet and gentle with kids and can be very standoffish at times but can be tempted to play.
