If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Espera is a lab/bully mix that more closely resembles a giraffe than a dog! She is taller than her pictures will lead you to believe.
Espera came to us from a rescue, and we haven't had her long. Unfortunately, and through no fault of her own, after adopting her we were hit with serious health issues that involve travel.
She was originally found as a stray in Minneapolis, where she was rescued and given a FHO surgery to help repair an injured leg. When we adopted her, she was still putting on weight and last weighed in at 65 lbs. We believe she is about 2 years old, although two separate veterinarians placed her between 1.5 and 2.5 years old.
The reasons you WILL love her:
- She is relatively calm indoors and loves to sleep near her humans
- She listens very well
- She will loving throw her head on you to get comfy
- She is an angel on a leash
- She gets sad when the children passing by don't pet her
- She is good with car rides (every day!)
- Great at fetch
- Bully kisses
