From the heart of a petite orange-and-white girl who’s ready for her forever home
Hi… I’m Dawn. I might be small, but I’ve lived a big life already. Before I came to the sanctuary, I spent my days outside trying to survive, scavenging for food, hiding from danger, and collecting more wounds and scars than any little cat should. When I finally made it to Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary, I was tired, hurt, and very scared.
But then something wonderful happened… Dr. Ashley, the amazing veterinarian here, fixed me up with gentle hands and lots of patience. The people here gave me safety, soft places to sleep, and showed me that not every human comes with fear attached.
I’m still shy at first, I can’t help it. It just takes me a little time to trust. But once I know you’re kind, my heart opens right up. I adore slow, careful approaches, head scratches, and soft, gentle pets. That’s when I melt.
I love other cats so much. You’ll often find me snuggling in a little kitty pile or curled up next to a friend. Comfy beds? Oh yes. Lickable treats? Absolutely yes.
I may not be the boldest or the loudest cat, but I promise I’m one of the sweetest once I feel safe. If you have a quiet home, a warm lap, and a gentle soul, I think I could love you forever.
You can meet me any day between 1–5 PM at the sanctuary, even holidays. I’ll be waiting, curled up in a cozy spot, hoping the next person who stops to say hello might be my person.
I have excellent litter box habits. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat.
I am fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. I had a dental recently, so my teeth are all sparkly clean! I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing.

Since Furball Farm gives many cats forever homes they are always in need of Scoopable cat Litter, canned cat food, and cleaning supplies. Items purchased at PetSmart in Faribault can be left at the store and they will contact us for pick up. We appreciate any help we can get and so do the cats!!! Thank you!!

Our goal is to be a sanctuary for cats who are not adoptable and to find loving homes for those who are. We welcome you to visit our sanctuary to snuggle with our furballs. You may even end up going home with one...or two!!!
You always need to remember our cats come with baggage. Lots of them were treated badly by people and it has taken time for them to trust us. They may need to come out of their shells once you adopt them. You need to give them time to see you are not going to hurt them. We love our Furballs and want good homes for all of them. Please remember it is all about the cats for us.
We only adopt out our Furballs to people within 2-3 hours of our sanctuary because of the baggage they come with. This does not include some of the cats in foster care (contact their foster parents for more information).
