My name is Emmett!

Emmett is a scholar and a gentleman. When he came to his foster home he was a bit hesitant around new people, but quickly settled in for a good scratch when allowed to advance on his own terms. He is a very affectionate and happy boy. He loves to go outside and explore his environment. When it is time for him to come in he will quickly respond to his name and come prancing up with his head held high and a smile on his face. Emmett does really well on a leash but he does like to lead the way. He loves his crate and and is content to go in it for a short afternoon nap or a long evening sleep. He gets along great with his foster’s older dogs, being sure to give them their space when they are not in the mood to play. As a gentleman he rarely barks as he does not want to disturb his household. Emmett is doing a great job with his house training, getting an A+ from his foster mom on his progress. He is heartworm positive and currently going through treatment. Emmett’s foster mom says he is a gentle and affectionate pup and a joy to have in her home.
