Siri

Spayed

Siri is a 4.5 year old pure bred American Pit Bull Terrier. She was adopted out as a house pet so was not registered, and was spayed. The original buyer couldn't keep her, and had her returned. The breeder had since closed their breeding program, and so reached out. We took Siri in, in hopes she would have a better life.

Siri's home life was rough the last year, and has created a few little issues, that we are working through. Siri seems to get along with dogs, but at events, sometimes she can walk past a dog, and sometimes she reacts. When she reacts, treats, and food motivation does not break concentration, and I have to force her away from the situation. I hope to get her some socialization this coming spring. Siri is a sweet girl that seems to love everyone that she comes into contact with. She would do best with an experienced handler just for the fact that she is STRONG and can be difficult to break concentration when she focuses on something. We feel at this time unless she can get some socialization that Siri would fair best in an only animal home. She has pulled towards the resident rescue cat, but was easy to break and lead away, but has not had straight access to a cat, so that is an unknown. She has always been friendly to people and kids at events.
