My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chile, Sesame, and Toast are an adorable trio of bonded gerbils looking for a loving home where they can stay together. These three little guys are curious, lively, and endlessly entertaining to watch as they dig, rearrange their bedding, and explore their surroundings. Gerbils are highly social animals, and keeping them as a bonded group allows them to feel safe, enriched, and content, which is exactly what makes this trio such a joy to have around.

Gerbils have several unique traits and care needs that make them delightful companions for the right adopter. They are natural burrowers, spending much of their time tunneling and building nests, so they require a habitat with plenty of deep bedding to support this instinct. They are also very clean animals with little to no odor, and they enjoy quiet periods of rest punctuated by bursts of energetic digging and play. Like all gerbils, Chile, Sesame, and Toast need safe materials to chew, such as untreated wooden toys or cardboard, to help keep their continuously growing teeth healthy.

These gerbils will thrive in a stable environment with a spacious enclosure, ideally 55 gallons or more for a trio, and enrichment items like tunnels, hideouts, and a solid-surface exercise wheel. A proper diet of high-quality gerbil food, along with the occasional vegetable or healthy treat, will help keep them active and healthy. With gentle handling, patience, and a peaceful environment away from loud noises or sudden disruptions, they will feel secure and comfortable in their new home.

Chile, Sesame, and Toast are ready to bring lots of charm, curiosity, and tiny adventures to a family willing to meet their needs and appreciate their delightful personalities. They're a wonderful match for someone looking to welcome a bonded, social group of small critters into their life.
